All United For Parikrama
Under The Shelter of Srila Gurudeva

A statement from the sannyasis, Math commanders, household preachers and the Bhakti Trust, 27th October 2012, Gopinath Bhavan, Vrindavana.
Oct. 27, 2012 Sri Vrindavan Dhama | In the holy dham of Vrindavana, extensive discussions have taken place between the senior Vaisnavas/Vaisnavis and Sripad Tirtha Maharaja. On the one hand, the senior devotees have tried to follow the example of Srila Gurudeva and behave with maximum compassion. Meanwhile, Sripad Tirtha Maharaja has acted with humility and sincerely apologised for his actions.
Srila Gurudeva always wanted that the parikrama continue and that his sevaks continue their devotional service. In this spirit, Sripad Tirtha Maharaja will participate in the parikrama and perform his seva albeit in a less prominent position. He has agreed to follow the guidance of the senior devotees. Everyone has done their very best to reach this outcome and, without compromising any spiritual principle, our family remains united and one as our beloved Srila Gurudeva wants.
We are now requesting that for this special month of parikrama there are no meetings, no politics and no criticism.

A LETTER I WISH I WOULD NEVER HAVE TO WRITE
Dear Maharajas, Prabhus and Didis, please accept my dandavat pranams.
All glories to Sri Guru and Sri Gauranga!

An increasing number of devotees in our sanga are becoming aware that our dear BV Tirtha Maharaja was involved in an unfortunate incident about a month ago in Europe. Most of our sannyasis are presently preaching all over the world, so there has been no opportunity to collectively discuss the situation in a formal manner.

Therefore, as yet, no resolutions have been passed and no official communication has been issued. A meeting has been scheduled for 25th October in Vrindavan. This has left room in the meantime for all kinds of speculation and wild rumors; arguments are being exchanged, unfortunately along with offenses. On the Internet recently, so much has been said. I therefore feel compelled to write this letter, in order to help clarify the situation.

This is not an official paper.

Besides his wonderful qualities and outstanding service, our BV Tirtha Maharaja seems to be afflicted with a weakness which, unfortunately, has caused him difficulty in the past. Some years ago, Srila Gurudeva dealt personally with the situation and commented that 'the witch of wanting to touch a woman's body has been following him for a long time.'

Unfortunately Maharaja's weakness has again manifested. In the process of exorcising one young woman from ghosts, he proceeded to massage both her and her sister's naked bodies with oil and touched them in very inappropriate ways. They froze in shock and passively allowed him to continue believing this was part of the exorcism.

These two girls are now traumatized because they had faith and respect in him as a spiritual authority. They are Srila Gurudeva's daughters and naturally deserve and expect justice and respect.

After denying it at first - accusing both the girls and his personal servant of lying and claiming himself to be a victim of politics - Maharaja finally admitted his misbehavior, and asked for help. He then shortened his tour and flew back to India, wherefrom he wrote a letter of apology to the two young ladies and their family.

This time, Srila Gurudeva is not physically here to deal with this painful situation. All the senior devotees are so sorry and concerned, and we wish to address this issue in the best interests of everyone involved, included our BV Tirtha Maharaja. The Gita verse api cet suduracaro is of course in everyone's mind. But what are the repercussions of his fall-down for the sanga at large, for his disciples, and for the conduct of the upcoming Vrajamandala parikrama? All this has only been discussed in informal meetings or private conversations by various senior devotees, and will be thoroughly addressed in the meeting on the 25th.

I am therefore begging everyone to avoid speculating, spreading rumors, or becoming involved in making or hearing offensive accusations. After the meeting on the 25th (Oct. 2012) an official paper will be released. If anything I have written hurts your feelings and convictions, please forgive me.
BV Suddhadvaiti.

PADA: Ghost busting? This has all happened before: AGRANI SWAMI (Andrew Lerra) Born Jan. 24, 1949 in Boston, MA. Served: 1987-1991: Was annointed by the ISKCON leaders as their acharya - savior - messiah for the Caribbean. The GBC Resolution from Feb. 28, 1985 says: Agrani Swami is empowered to begin giving Diksa initiations. After he fell down, some tried to justify his falldown "as the result of Guyana Voodoo curses." Allegedly he was attending a Caribbean ghost busting voodoo ceremony for a ghostly haunted young woman "disciple." He apparently said that the female ghost witch doctor who spread blood from a slaughtered sheep on her breasts during the ceremony had "agitated him for sex." Then the other leaders said: that is a reasonable excuse why a messiah would become agitated for illicit sex, so he can stay on as guru? Until he had yet another similar crisis later? We'd like to know how to contact him for an update.

  1. ALL GLORIES TO HIS DIVINE GRACE A.C.BHAKTIVEDANTA SWAMI SRILA PRABHUPADA! It seems to me that this "guru"has a lot of problems--Lusting after women is just the tip of the iceburg. After he was caught falling down he actually claimed that those around him were making up the story!! He is obviously attached to his high position and doesn't even care if he destroyed others to maintain his own worship. He is a rascal---HE IS NO GURU!

  2. Many followers of Narayabna Maharaja,(I heard personally many of them saying this), claimed that Srila Prabhupada gave just the abc of spiritual life to his disciples, and that this is one of the reasons why in Iskcon many devotees are week; and for years have being criticizing Isckon sannyasis and gurus. But now we can see that the followers and new gurus of Narayana Maharaj, affter having recieved more than ABc, are having the same problems. May be now they can apologise to Prabhupada, for saying that he gave only the AbC. They thenselves can not even follow the Abc, as the last news of fallen sannyasis in their camp, (and this one of Titha ex maharaja is not the only one, there are still sannyasis who do not follow the principles around) has proved it. Just start follow the ABC, as Srila prabhupada taught you,if you are able to do it,and may be there will be more serious sanniasis around, and less pretenders.
